Shaw Hosts Virtual SFN Event in Conjunction with Dallas Regional Market

Grapevine, TX, January 7, 2022-A Shaw Flooring Network aligned dealer event is currently underway at the Embassy Suites in Grapevine, Texas, synchronized with the two-day Southwest Flooring Market event, which takes place at AT&T Stadium in Dallas.

These shows-along with Mohawk’s 2022 Roadshow that launched January 5 in Philadelphia-kick off the season one events for the flooring industry.

Shaw’s event is designed to service its whole network of aligned dealers virtually and also provide a physical event for Southwest regional dealers within driving distance. On the first day of the event, around 1,000 SFN members logged in online, while about 400 were in-person at the event. The virtual event was broadcast from a major stage set up in Grapevine, and virtual attendees were invited to walk through the showroom online.

Shaw holds its Shaw Flooring Network Convention every other year-2022 being the off year. This event is not meant to replace the larger convention, which will take place in 2023.

Included in the 2022 showroom are new products from the company’s Shaw Floors, Coretec and Anderson Tuftex brands. In addition, the event introduced dealers to a new brand of sundries called Totalworx, which includes floor preparation materials, cushion, underlayment, adhesive, seam tape, trims and floor care products. While many of these products were within Shaw’s offering previously, Totalworx organizes them into a more user-friendly package that will help minimize warranty issues between sundry suppliers and product suppliers.

Under the Shaw Floors brand, the company introduced a new floor display with a wide assortment of new products, including many that incorporate Card Monroe’s Tailored Loop equipment for more textured styles.

In should be noted that Shaw’s Anso brand, previously nylon only, now includes high-performance PET.

In addition, the company rolled out a new version of its Lifeguard Spillproof Technology blue backing with a softer-hand construction replacing the former film construction. All of the company’s Pet Perfect Plus products (which replace those formerly branded as Stainmaster’s Pet Protect) feature this new backing.

The company’s Pet Perfect products feature a 20-year warranty, and Pet Perfect Plus products feature a 25-year warranty; these are branded under both Shaw Floors and Anderson Tuftex.

Under Coretec, the company introduced nine new LVT SKUs, some of which feature a third-generation, high-definition integrated bevel (not a painted bevel). Select Coretec upper-end products also include a new acoustic underlayment that adds more cushion and bounce underfoot, replacing the previous cork underlayment. Shaw also introduced a new merchandising system for Coretec.

Under Anderson Tuftex, the company introduced a host of new engineered hardwood products, including Joinery, which features 2”x8” inserts that highlight the intersections in an homage to traditional woodworking joinery, and Grand Estate, featuring the company’s first true oil finish.

Shaw continutes to reinforce the brand promise for its three core brands:

* Shaw Floors: Home at Last

* Coretec: The Orginators

* Anderson Tuftex: Floors designed with intention and crafted with care.

Says Melissa Murphy, principle with Johnston Paint and Decorating of Columbia, Missouri, who flew to show with four of her designer sales team, “I am thankful our team made the trip to Shaw’s Dallas market. We were excited to see great new introductions in both carpet and hard surface. But what we really came for was the ability to be face-to-face with our retailer friends and the team at Shaw, who has worked tirelessly for the last two years to meet our procurement demands. Our entire design team needed these last two days more than I even realized-to refill our creativity buckets but to also get our minds right for the challenges and demands of 2022.”
