April 25, 2007—Kemp Harr, Publisher of Floor Focus magazine looks at the ceramic and stone show Coverings 2007, which was held last week at Chicago’s McCormick Place. Discussed are the preliminary attendance figures and increases in the architect and design and retail categories, increases in exhibitor participation and some of the event and product introduction highlights of the show. Also discussed: Mohawk’s 1Q earnings, which rose 14%, and some of the comments made during the company’s conference call as well as the licensing agreements between Unilin and Valinge and Unilin and Beaulieu International.
