Franco Rossi Discusses Aquafil's New Depolymerization Plant in Europe

January 24, 2011—Franco Rossi, President of Aquafil, and Kemp Harr discuss Aquafil's new $21 million facility in Slovenia to produce caprolactam from recycled nylon 6 for its Econyl polymer. The caprolactam produced is as good as virgin material. Econyl, which contains 100% recycled content, and is produced in a nearby polymerization plant, is used in its Alto Chroma BCF carpet fiber.
