October 26, 2007—Mike Barker, Investment and Retirement Management looks back at last Friday’s drop in the Dow of 367 points and the volatility the market has seen since. Barker compares some of the characteristics of the dot-com boom of the late 1990s to the market of today and discusses his expectations for more volatility going forward. Also discussed are the actions the Fed is likely to take at its meeting next week and some of the comments made by Mohawk Industries’ chairman and CEO Jeff Lorberbaum during the company’s 3rd quarter earnings conference call.
