Wood Flooring Expert Mickey Moore Has Died

Memphis, TN, February 2, 2024-Mickey Moore, teacher and inspector for the National Oak Flooring Manufacturers Association (NOFMA), died January 27, according to the National Wood Flooring Association.

In 1981, Moore became a teacher and inspector for the National Oak Flooring Manufacturers Association (NOFMA). He traveled the world teaching master classes for technicians in the field. Moore was a past president of The Lumberman’s Club and was named “Lumberman of the Year” by the association members in 2018.

Moore became the technical director of NOFMA in 1988. He participated on numerous NOFMA and National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA) committees and contributed to technical publications for both organizations.
