WIFI Presents First Women of Distinction Award to Emily Finkell

Las Vegas, NV, January 29, 2026-Women In the Floorcovering Industry (WIFI) presented its inaugural Women of Distinction Award to Emily Finkell, one of WIFI’s founding board members, during the WIFI Morning Mix Breakfast held January 28 in Mohawk’s booth at The International Surface Event (TISE) 2026 in Las Vegas.

The Women of Distinction Award was created to recognize women whose leadership, service, and lasting contributions have helped shape the floorcovering industry and advance opportunities for women within it. The award presentation took place during WIFI’s Morning Mix Breakfast at tise 2026, which brought together women and allies from across the industry for connection, networking, and an introduction to WIFI’s mentoring, professional development and scholarship programs.

Emily Finkell was selected as the first-ever recipient of the WIFI Women of Distinction Award in recognition of her professional impact, creative leadership and unwavering commitment to empowering women in the flooring industry. From her design work at Shaw Industries and Engineered Floors to the creation of her own brand, Emily Morrow Home, and her design firm, EF Floors & Design, she has consistently elevated design, innovation, and storytelling across the industry. Equally impactful is her role as a co-founder of WIFI, where she helped build an organization dedicated to education, mentorship, and career advancement for women in flooring-all while serving as a true beacon of positivity.
