NWFA Selects Oprah for Advertising Campaign

St. Louis, MO, May 24--In an effort to help it members maximize their advertising efforts, the NWFA has negotiated advertising rates with The Oprah Winfrey Show, the #1 talk show in syndication. For any 10-week period during 2005, NWFA members will have an opportunity to advertise one time per week in their local market during the Oprah show. Each weekday, this program reaches in excess of 30 million viewers, and depending on the local market, placements are available for as little as a few hundred dollars per 10-week period. NWFA members participating in the program won’t need to handle any negotiations. The NWFA will provide the station with the customized tape, the advertising rates are already negotiated, the time slots are flexible, and there is nothing left to do but sit back and watch. At the same time, the NWFA will continue its national advertising campaign on Home and Garden Television (HGTV), with a commitment to appear regularly on the popular show Designer’s Challenge. This campaign will continue to provide exposure for every NWFA member by driving viewers to the NWFA’s consumer web site, where they can find an NWFA member in their local area. To find out more about advertising on the Oprah show, visit www.nwfa.org, and click on the “Advertise on Oprah” link, or contact the NWFA. About a year ago, the NWFA released its first-ever television advertisement. Since then, hundreds of NWFA members have customized this ad for only $75 to air in their local viewing area, driving business directly to them.
