NWFA Says Meeting Attendance Was Up 3%

St. Louis, MO, April 13, 2010--Attendance was up more than 3% for the NWFA’s 2010 Wood Flooring Expo and Education Conference held March 22 - 24 in Washington, D.C., the association said.

The show attracted 2,544 attendees from throughout the world, with 237 companies filling 414 exhibit booths.

NWFA Executive Director and CEO Ed Korczak said he was pleased to see that attendance at the show was up from the previous year in Long Beach.

“We had expected our show attendance to be flat or down slightly as has been the case with most flooring shows held so far this year, but our increase, though modest, was noticeable," Korczak said.

"Traffic was constant on the Expo floor, and our education sessions were well-attended.”

In addition to education for wood flooring professionals, this year’s show also included a series education sessions specifically geared toward architects and designers that would allow them to earn continuing education credits for the professional license renewals.  Attendees also received a free lunch on the Expo show floor each day.

Plans are underway for the NWFA’s 2011 Convention to be held April 26 - 29 in San Diego.
