NWFA Pioneer John H. Reid Dies

Meridian, TX, Feb. 8, 2012 -- John Harold Reid, age 85, who worked at Trinity Floor Company for 50 years, 30 of those years as owner and president, died Feb. 5.

He was inducted into the Oak Flooring Hall of Fame, as well as the Maple Flooring Hall of Fame.

Reid also help form the National Wood Flooring Association in December 1985 and became a charter NWFA member.

In 1986 Reid founded the North Texas Flooring Association. He also served as president of the Dallas Floor Covering Association. He was also inducted into the NWFA Hall of Fame in 1994.
