NFM Cuts Ribbon on New Omaha Flooring Showroom Today

Omaha, NE, October 5, 2022-Nebraska Furniture Mart (NFM) is cutting the ribbon on a reset of its Omaha, Nebraska flooring showroom today.

Nebraska Furniture Mart, owned by Berkshire Hathaway, is a Omaha-headquartered retailer offering furniture, flooring, appliances and electronics with four locations: Omaha; Clive, Iowa; Kansas City, Kansas, and The Colony, Texas. Another will be opened in Austin, Texas in a few years. The retailer, number 17 on Floor Focus’ Top 100 list, does $190 million in annual flooring sales, with 50% of sales in carpet.

This is the first flooring reset for the store in many years and features a Shaw Floors’ Anso store-within-a-store, accounting for half the carpet floorspace, with a strong focus on its Pet-Perfect products. Carpet accounts for more than 60% of Nebraska Furniture Mart’s flooring sales.

For the reset, Shaw, another Berkshire-owned company, designed new displays with a crisp, clean look, and the overall aesthetic of the space, which was 14 months in the making, is highly modern and clutter-free.

The retailer, which has over 60% marketshare of flooring sales in Omaha, will roll out the concept to its other locations.

The store opens at 11:00 a.m. CT, and the retailer has publicized the event.
