M-Line To Transport World Market Attendees
Las Vegas, NV, December 14, 2006--Las Vegas Market attendees will see a number of exciting changes slated for January’s Market including nearly 1,500 exhibiting companies with 300 new permanent showrooms in Building B, more on-site services and the ‘Market-Line’ or ‘M-Line’--a new hotel-to-Market shuttle service. M-Line, an enhanced shuttle program to be launched at the next Las Vegas Market, offers a number of new features including additional shuttle service days (starting Saturday and Sunday prior to Market), extended hours throughout the week, McCarran Airport service, an express route running every 10 minutes to nearby Cashman Center and more shuttle hosts at each of the hotel partners. “After each Market we listen to the feedback of attendees and continue to refine different programs to ensure the very best experience. We have taken steps to improve the overall transportation program to ensure maximum utilization and to give buyers, exhibitors and reps the most convenient shuttle service possible,” Michelle Monteferrante, show director for World Market Center. “One step further, we have branded this vital Market program with a new name and logo, ‘M-Line,’ which will be highly visible throughout the Market and at all shuttle stops, making transportation very easy and accessible for attendees.” The new M-Line kicks off with service for exhibitors and reps the weekend prior to Market. Routes will run to and from World Market Center and key hotels including Aladdin, Bally’s, Bellagio, Flamingo, Golden Nugget, Harrah’s, Imperial Palace, Mandalay Bay, Mirage, New York, New York, Paris and Sahara. M-Line service will begin in the morning with continued pick-ups from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and return service in the afternoon from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. during Saturday and Sunday prior to Market. M-Line’s full-service market program for all Market attendees will begin on Monday, January 29 with a new earlier start time of 6:00 a.m. to World Market Center, along with longer evening hours. Complimentary M-Line shuttles are available all day, every day between all Las Vegas Market venues. Guests staying at any of the 26 host hotels can take advantage of M-Line and are encouraged to ride the shuttles to and from Market or “park and ride” from a host hotel. Shuttles will pick up and drop off every 15 minutes during peak hours and every 30 minutes midday from each host hotel at the hotel tour lobby. M-Line service starts Tuesday, January 30 to the temporary exhibit venue, Cashman Center, with an express route to and from nearby World Market Center. “Attendees will be able to get to our temporary show in about 10 minutes,” said Monteferrante. Shuttles will also run from World Market Center and Cashman Center to McCarran Airport every half hour on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of Market week for a discounted rate of $15.00 per passenger. Additional M-Line hosts will be added to increase customer service and offer attendees the opportunity to learn more about the Market and events taking place throughout the week. Monteferrante added, “It’s important for our attendees to know that when they stay at one of our 26 host hotel properties, we will provide expedient and complimentary M-Line service to and from the various Market venues each and every day,”
