Jeff Sills Leaves Brinkman, Joins Anderson Hardwoo

Clinton, SC--Jeff Sills, President of LDBrinkman, has resigned that position to accept the position of Chief Operating Officer of Anderson Hardwood Floors as of August 1. In that role he will be responsible for sales, marketing and logistical support. He will also become part of the Executive Committee reporting to Don Finkell, President. "I have worked with Jeff for almost 20 years," said Finkell. "He played a key role in building Brinkman into the world’s largest and most respected flooring distributor before their purchase by Beaulieu. I am proud that someone of Jeff’s caliber has chosen to be part of the Anderson family. "Jeff’s in-depth knowledge of distribution and retailer issues will add insight to our senior management team," Finkell continued. "Our goal is to become the most profitable line our distributors’ carry and Jeff will help us move in that direction." Sills was equally upbeat about his new position. "Of the opportunities available to me, and after long discussions with my family and close friends, it was clear that Anderson was where I wanted to be. Don and I have had both a long-term working relationship and a close friendship. I have the greatest respect for his leadership at Anderson and what his team has accomplished over the years. "Unlike other situations, my role at Anderson is not a turnaround; rather, I look forward to adding to the positive momentum already in place. That will free Don to do what he wants to do--concentrate on the infrastructure necessary to support the company’s continued rapid growth," Sills said. Sills began his career at LDBrinkman immediately upon graduation from Mississippi State. Rapidly rising from territory manager in Jackson, Miss. to Sales Manager in New Orleans, and then to General Manager in Jackson and in Tulsa, Jeff became President of Brinkman’s Northern Division, was promoted to Executive V.P. of Sales and Marketing, and finally was picked to be President of L.D. Brinkman. Since that time Jeff has held executive positions with both Beaulieu and Dal-Tile before he returned to Brinkman as President after it was repurchased.
