Durable Goods Orders Declined 9.3% in June

Washington, DC, July 25, 2025— New orders for manufactured durable goods in June, down two of the last three months, decreased $32.1 billion or 9.3% to $311.8 billion, the U.S. Census Bureau announced. This followed a 16.5% May increase.

New Single-Family Home Sales Rose 0.6% in June, Down 6.6% YOY

Washington, DC, July 24, 2025-Sales of new single-family houses in June 2025 were at a seasonally-adjusted annual rate of 627,000, according to estimates released jointly by the U.S. Census Bureau and the Department of Housing and Urban Development, 0.6% above the May 2025 rate of 623,000, and is 6.6% below the June 2024 rate of 671,000.

Dalton, GA, July 24, 2025—As required by AB 863, CARE has launched the Installer Grant Program to provide funding for carpet recycling education/training (installation and removal techniques) and awareness that will establish, increase, improve and enhance additional California generated post-consumer carpet (PCC) collection for recycling and reuse led by unionized apprentice and journey-level carpet installers.
