October's New Home Sales Inched Up from Sept., but Rose 31.6% YOY

Washington, DC, November 26, 2019—Sales of new single-family houses in October 2019 were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 733,000, according to estimates released jointly by the U.S. Census Bureau and the Department of Housing and Urban Development, a 0.7% below the revised September rate of 738,000, but is 31.6% above the October 2018 estimate of 557,000.
