Columbus, OH, August 17, 2021-Columbus-based America’s Floor Source (AFS) has acquired JP Flooring, one of the longest established flooring retailers in the Cincinnati area. This acquisition includes JP’s 100,000-square-foot facility in West Chester, Ohio, which consists of a warehouse, office space, and a showroom.
Builder Confidence Slid 5 Points to 75 in August
Washington, DC, August 17, 2021—Higher construction costs and supply shortages along with rising home prices pushed builder confidence to its lowest reading since July 2020, according to the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB)/Wells Fargo Housing Market Index (HMI). Builder sentiment in the market for newly built single-family homes fell five points to 75 in August.
Retail Sales Declined 1.1% in July, Rose 15.8% YOY
