Chain Store Sales Off 1.7% Last Week

Washington, DC, NY, December 7--Retail chain store sales declined by 1.7 percent for the week ending December 4, according to the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC)-UBS Weekly Chain Store Sales Index released Tuesday.

3Q Productivity Up 1.8%

Washington, DC, December 7-- Productivity grew at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 1.8% in the third quarter, down from the initial estimate of 1.9%, for the lowest rate since the fourth quarter of 2002, according to a Labor Department.
