Atlanta, GA, April 22—-It was reported in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that Home Depot is expanding its Floor Store test to five additional locations in metro Dallas.
The newspaper cited company spokesman Jerry Shields as saying that the "feeder" locations in Texas opened March 31 in Southlake, Mesquite, Lewisville, north Dallas and Fort Worth.
It said the new Texas sites average about 14,000 square feet, smaller than the original 45,000-square-foot location.
Shields said in the newspaper that the new locations will augment the original store in Plano, Texas, which opened in 2000. Another test store is in Margate, Fla.
