Architecture Billings Index Increases for 5th Month in June
Washington, DC, July 19, 2017—The American Institute of Architects (AIA) reported the June Architecture Billings Index (ABI) score was 54.2, up from a score of 53.0 in the previous month. This marks the fifth consecutive increase.
June Housing Starts Rose 8.3%
Washington, DC, July 19, 2017— Privately owned housing starts in June were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 1,215,000, according to the U.S. Census Bureau and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. This is 8.3% above the revised May estimate of 1,122,000 and is 2.1% above the June 2016 rate of 1,190,000.
