Nov. Builder Confidence Hits 70, Highest Reading Since March
Arlington, VA, November 16, 2017—Builder confidence in the market for newly-built single-family homes rose two points to a level of 70 in November on the National Association of Home Builders/Wells Fargo Housing Market Index (HMI). This was the highest report since March, and the second highest on record since July 2005.

Industrial Production Rose 0.9% in October
Washington, DC, November 16, 2017—Industrial production rose 0.9% in October, and manufacturing increased 1.3%. The index for utilities rose 2.0%, but mining output fell 1.3%, as Hurricane Nate caused a sharp but short-lived decline in oil and gas drilling and extraction.
