Worker Injured at Shaw Plant in LaFayette

Lafayette, GA, March 30, 2007--A worker at a Shaw plant in LaFayette was injured today.

The public safety director says the man's leg got stuck between two heavy rollers at the DH plant on Shattuck Industrial Drive. It took quite some time for technicians to get the machine apart and free him.

Medics and a surgeon were on standby once the victim was released. He was airlifted to Erlanger Medical Center. His name and condition were unknown at press time.
