Wools of New Zealand Releases Color Forecast
Marble Hill, GA, March 20, 2007--One of the services provided by Wools of New Zealand to its Brand partners is the presentation of an international carpet and rug color forecast. The colors are one-year ahead of current trends and are used by manufacturers to create fashion-forward Wools of New Zealand Brand floor coverings. The 2008 forecast, named The Color of Wine: Fine Living for a Fine Palette, was prepared by the Creative Group at Wools of New Zealand’s Design and Development Center in Ilkley, West Yorkshire. Leading the group is Joanna Ramsden, creative manager for Wools of New Zealand. Ramsden is an experienced colorist who sits on a number of influential international forecasting panels.
“Color, like wine, is all about personal preferences and tastes,” explains Ramsden. “This year’s forecast is inspired by the art of viticulture—the vineyard landscapes, the types of grapes and the finest wines of New Zealand.”
There are 25 shades in the collection which are divided into 5 groups ranging from soft shades of white to classy lights, naturally inspired mid-tones, exquisitely jewelled brights and indulgent darks. It’s a palette which contains something for everyone and can be mixed-and-matched to create spectacular carpets and rugs for residential and commercial interiors.
The Wools of New Zealand 2008 Color Forecast is elegantly presented in a ribbon-tied box containing dye recipes and pull-out poms. The forecast is available for $100 by calling Wools of New Zealand at 1-800-367-0462.
