Wools of New Zealand Hires Parsons

Atlanta, GA, December 6, 2006—Wools of New Zealand has appointed Steven Parsons international product development manager. Parsons is taking on most of the responsibilities previously performed by Malcolm Sims and will work in Wools of New Zealand’s International Development Center located in Ilkley, England. This state-of-the-art facility houses experienced artisans and innovative technology, both of which are utilized extensively by the carpet industry—in the U.S. and abroad. Parsons is a graduate of the Massey University School of Design and has spent the last 12 years with Feltex Carpets in New Zealand. With an excellent background in technology and design, Parsons has broad experience in tufted, woven and printed carpets in natural and synthetic fibers. Parsons will be joining Wools of New Zealand in January 2007 and will attend Domotex and Surfaces, giving many Wools of New Zealand partners an early opportunity to meet him. After the markets, he will travel throughout the U.S. and other parts of the world, presenting the company’s annual Trend Collection to partner manufacturers.
