With Stainmaster Out, Home Depot Signs Martha

Atlanta, GA, July 2, 2010--Home Depot Inc. is adding Martha Stewart Living branded carpet to its almost 2,000 U.S. stores.

The move comes after Stainmaster, owned by Invista, decided earlier this year to pull out of the chain and sell exclusively through Lowe's in the home center channel.

Home Depot will finish installing Martha Stewart displays in stores during the first week of July, according to reports.

Martha Stewart Living is expanding at Home Depot after ending a partnership with Kmart that accounted for 10% of last year’s sales. Martha Stewart will also start selling cabinets and countertops at Home Depot’s U.S. stores in September, followed by gardening supplies and holiday decorations.
