Kennesaw, GA, October 20 – "Witex is here to stay" and "the company is well funded to sustain long term growth" were the messages sent loud and clear to distributors attending a management meeting at a mountain retreat near the company’s headquarters.
Representatives from all 22 Witex Distributors participated in a day long strategy session last month with top Witex management who focused on the future.
"We wanted to communicate very clear, well organized and detailed plans for the future with our valued distributor partners," said Paul Trau, Witex executive vice president of sales and marketing. "Our new management is committed to long term growth and has committed the financial resources to support aggressive and exciting marketing plans for 2005 and beyond."
To that end, key Witex marketing managers provided their distributor guests with detailed product development plans for the company’s ceramic, laminate and hardwood product lines leading up to Surfaces 2005 in January. The company’s high profile Laura Ashley branded product collections will play a key role across their marketing
efforts. "One of our primary goals is to expand the Laura Ashley Program," said Trau.
"This proprietary grouping gives retailers an exclusive, high-end product offering in
ceramic, wood and laminate with tremendous margin potential. One of our goals is to provide retailers with a logical, easy to sell trade-up platform from our upper end
Witex products to our exclusive Laura Ashley branded product offering."
Distributors were also updated on current and upcoming marketing programs. Marketing Manager Kathy Welch previewed product branding and merchandising initiatives designed to dramatically elevate the company’s presence at the point-of-purchase. The programs are earmarked for introduction at Surfaces in January at which time all components will be "ready to ship" according to Ms. Welch. "Our goal is to make Surfaces a true 'selling show' and not just a new product showcase."
