New London, WI, December 15--Wolf River Lumber Inc. is planning to build a $4.5 million facility and add 58 jobs in New London, according to the Wisconsin Department of Commerce.
The Milwaukee Business Journal reported that the company manufactures and kiln-dries hardwood lumber for kitchen cabinets, flooring, and wood molding manufacturers. The company produces more than 36 million board feet of hardwood lumber annually.
Wolf River plans to construct and equip an 80,000-square-foot facility. The firm will receive $250,000 in Technology Zone tax credits from the Wisconsin Department of Commerce to help fund the project, which will retain 107 jobs.
Wisconsin's Technology Zone program is an economic development initiative that helps stimulate the growth of businesses that are locating or expanding in one of eight technology zones statewide.
