Wicanders Introduces HPS

LasVegas, NV, February 16, 2007--Amorim Revestimentos, the manufacturer of Wicanders Cork Oak floors has rolled out their newest product at the 2007 Surfaces Show: Wicanders’ patented HPS or High Performance Surface finish.

High Performance Surface finish is an engineering feat for flooring surfaces. Conceived and constructed by Amorim’s Research & Development team in Portugal, it is tougher than any other high resistance finish in its class. Specifically designed for high traffic areas, and with a 15 year commercial warranty, HPS is considered to be a revolutionary innovation in the flooring market.

This innovation is based on the strength of nano-bead technology. HPS works by embedding a fine shield of nano-beads atop the surface layer to protect and preserve floors from scratches, scuff marks, dents, abrasions, stains, and UV damage. This fine layer of nano-beads has a lower gloss level for a natural look and provides excellent traction to prevent slipping.

The unique strength of this finish is that it retains the natural properties of Cork Oak. Wicanders Cork Oak floors with HPS insulate against temperature and sound, they are giving and resilient underfoot, are hygienic and easily cleaned. This advanced selection is available on Series 1000, 2000, and 3000 floors.
