Wholesale Inventories Rise More Than Expected
Washington, DC, Dec. 9, 2014 -- U.S. wholesale inventories rose more than expected in October, according to the Commerce Department.
The government said that inventories increased 0.4% after an upwardly revised 0.4% gain in September.
Economists had expected inventories to rise only 0.2% in October following a previously reported 0.3% increase in September.
Inventories in October were helped by increases in inventories of electrical goods, machinery, apparel, metals and other products.
