Wholesale Inventories Rise Again in July
Washington, DC, Sept. 9, 2011 -- Wholesale inventories rose more in July than in June, according to the Commerce Department.
The 0.8% increase in inventories followed a 0.6% rise in June. Economists projected a 0.7% gain.
Wholesalers’ stockpiles of durable goods, or those meant to last several years, increased 1% in July, reflecting a 0.6% increase in automobile and parts imports.
