WFCA's Davis To Define 'Green' on Designing Spaces
Pompano Beach, FL, Sept. 5, 2008--Because there are no clearly stated, governmental guidelines on what makes a flooring environmentally-friendly, Designing Spaces invited Kerry Davis from the World Floor Covering Association to share her expertise on the upcoming "Think Green" special edition of the show.
Viewers will learn that a wide variety of floorcoverings, including cork, linoleum, bamboo, hardwood, carpet, stone and ceramic time are all good choices for going green. The show airs nationally on the WE network at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 5 and on TLC at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 6.
"There are many criteria for what constitutes green flooring, including whether it utilizes recyclable or renewable materials, the amount of energy and water needed to manufacture and transport it, as well as the over-all lifespan," says Davis.
"In addition to reviewing the tips on the WFCA.org website, I recommend that homeowners work with a knowledgeable retailer who can recommend environmentally-friendly flooring solutions."
Created by Quorum Productions, Designing Spaces is a half-hour informative series that inspires viewers to make every space count and instructs them on the smartest ways to make their homes more beautiful and functional.
