Wear-Dated Decorates “From The Floor Up”

Kennesaw, GA, September 11, 2007—In October, Solutia Inc.'s Wear-Dated carpet fiber will continue its participation in a Karastan initiative showing consumers how high-quality design can play a role in their homes' décor, even at the very bottom level—the floor.

Titled “Decorating from the Floor Up,” it includes consumer events in major U.S. markets. The next event will be held at the Phoenix Design Center in Scottsdale, Arizona, on October 6.

Hosted by Thom Filicia, an interior designer best known for his role as interior design specialist on Bravo's Queer Eye for the Straight Guy and The Style Network's Dress My Nest, the live, interactive workshops show consumers that carpet can be just as modern, attractive and aesthetically appealing as alternative floorings.

Using a mix of design elements, including paint, flooring, furniture and window treatments, Filicia will create a complete interior environment. Each stage of the process will be explained through a multimedia presentation of the final outcome.
