Wear Dated Expands Retail Sales Incentive Program

Kinnelon, NJ, May 1, 2007--Wear-Dated’s newly expanded Rewards for Life retail salesperson incentive program offers retailers and retail salespeople added reasons to promote the value of higher-margin branded carpet to the consumer.

For the first time ever, the program, which runs through December 31, 2008, rewards retail salespeople with points based on the weight of carpet made with Wear-Dated carpet fiber. For every valid square yard of Wear-Dated carpet fiber sold and claimed, the salesperson will earn 10 points for carpet weighing 35 ounces or less, and 20 points for carpet weighing 36 ounces or more. All products made from Wear-Dated carpet fiber are eligible.

In addition to enhancing the point structure, starting in May, participants will be able to manage their reward accounts online to redeem name brand, top-of-the-line merchandise, retail debit cards, and travel and cruise packages. “We are looking to make this an easy program for participants,” says Ben Jones, manager, Wear-Dated programs. “Not only will every yard submitted and validated receive credit based on the carpet’s weight, but it will happen immediately without having to wait to reach an artificial threshold.”

Participants are encouraged to convert their current Rewards for Life Card balance to the new award bank account before the end of May. As an added incentive, from now until May 31, current Rewards for Life participants will earn 5,000 bonus points when they transfer their current balance into the new program.

In addition, the 2007 alignment among the Mohawk, Wear-Dated and Karastan retail sales incentive programs further enhances the sale of heavier-weight branded carpet to consumers. Salespeople enrolled in the Rewards for Life program will soon be able to combine their point balances from either their Mohawk Rewards Plus accounts or their Karastan Imagine accounts to redeem even bigger and better prizes.

“These enhancements to the Wear-Dated Rewards for Life program provide real benefits for our retailers,” says David Goldschmidt, director of sales, Wear-Dated carpet fiber. “The more focused the retail salesperson is on selling heavier-weight branded carpet, the better an opportunity we have to truly benefit the consumer and the retailer.”
