Wanke Cascade President Johnson Dies

Portland, OR, Sept. 20, 2011 -- Wanke Cascade President James W. Johnson has died at age 57 after a short battle with cancer.

Johnson was in the flooring industry for more than 23 years.  He joined flooring distributor Wanke Cascade in June of 2008, and grew the company into one of the top distributors in the Pacific Northwest.

Johnson set a goal for Wanke Cascade: “Never say No, find a solution to all situations that is fair for all.”

In a statement, the company said, “Jim brought a contagious energy to work with him every day.  His vast knowledge of the industry, combined with his sharp sense of humor, entrepreneurial spirit and unflappable work ethic made him an excellent leader."
