Välinge Signs German Flooring Firm

Viken, Sweden, Dec. 2, 2008--Välinge has signed German producer Hamberger Flooring GmbH as a new licensee.

Välinge and Hamberger have signed a global 5G license agreement, which gives Hamberger the right to produce and sell Välinge's fold down locking technology known in the market as 5G.

This license agreement was preceded by a patent infringement settlement between Välinge and Hamberger regarding disputes related to the one piece locking system used by Hamberger on its wood and laminate flooring products.

Initially Hamberger will introduce the 5G system from January 2009 on parts of the Haro Parquet range and on its Celenio wood tiles with a stone, slate or leather appearance . The locking system will be marketed by Hamberger under the name “TopConnect.”
