Välinge Settles Another Patent Dispute

Viken, Sweden, March 19, 2010--Välinge has settled a patent dispute with Granite & Marble Expo Inc. and Granite Expo Installation Co. after acknowledgement of patent infringement in the U.S. regarding Välinge's "Arc Loc" locking system used by some Chinese producers.

Valinge said that Granite Expo has agreed to buy and limit its sales of laminate flooring to products that have been manufactured by Välinge’s licensees.

The agreement also includes a payment to Välinge. Välinge said it will request that the litigation be dismissed.

"Välinge has during the last few weeks settled three major patent disputes in the U.S. with Mannington, Balterio and Granite Expo on fair and reasonable terms and in a way that creates a foundation for future cooperations," said Välinge CEO says Darko Pervan.
