Viken, Sweden - September 22, 2005 -- The recent victory at the European patent Office (EPO) once again shows that Välinge's patents are important, new and inventive.
Välinge has today scored an important victory when the European patent EP 1 084 318 was maintained by the EPO Opposition Division in a slightly amended form. The decision can be appealed.
The patent belongs to the "Combiloc" family and is generally directed to Wood Floorings with mechanical locking systems.
Välinge's victory at the EPO once again shows that Välinge's patents are important, new and inventive.
Now Välinge have six European patents that have successfully passed opposition or final appeal. This is considerably more than any other company has accomplished in the field of mechanical locking systems for floorings.
