Välinge Powder Technology Comes in Two Levels

Viken, Sweden, March 30, 2010--Valinge has come up with two product categories for its new powder technology, which has been developed to replace solid surface paper on wood fiber floors.

Two product categories are WFF-Basic and WFF-Superior.

WFF-Basic provides a method to produce powder based flooring with similar properties as conventional DPL and HPL floors. Production costs are lower and stocks could be reduced, the company said.

WFF-Basic could compete with conventional laminate in all price segments and will most probably replace a majority of all conventional paper based laminate floorings.

WFF-Superior offers a method to produce new floors with properties superior to any laminate flooring, the company said, and could be an alternative to ceramics that cannot provide an easy installation with mechanical locking.

Only Tarkett and the Krono Group have so far qualified for a license, Välinge said, although it is involved in advanced license discussions with five other companies.
