Välinge Gets Injunction Against Firm at Domotex

Viken, Sweden, Jan. 23, 2009--Välinge Innovation AB has been awarded an injunction for patent infringement against the Chinese company Jiangsu Kentier Wood, based in Danyang.

The company showed and offered for sale on their Domotex booth flooring products utilizing technology patented by Välinge, including Välinge’s new 5G locking system, without having obtained a license or a non-assertion agreement, Välinge said.

Further infringement actions were filed in Braunschweig against Yulan Wood, a company related to Välinge’s former licensee Jiangsu Palunke Floor, who's license has been recently terminated by Välinge due to non-compliance with the contractual terms and conditions.

"Today Välinge has given a very clear signal to the market that the company is prepared to take legal action and to enforce in a firm way its intellectual property rights against those companies who choose not to honor patents and related intellectual property rights," said Ignace Gorus, the company’s senior legal counsel.
