Välinge Files Suit Against Egger in Europe
Viken, Sweden, July 30, 2009--Välinge is suing Egger over three of Välinge’s European patents.
All three patents have been successfully upheld in multi-party oppositions at European Patent Office, the company said.
Egger is one of the largest European laminate producers and it has sold a substantial amount of flooring with mechanical locking systems have been sold in Germany, Välinge claims.
Välinge said that Egger has been offered a license on several occasions.
Beside this new case, Välinge said that Egger is still being sued by the Berry Group for infringement on several of the Välinge patents. These suits are ongoing in both Germany and Austria.
