Mettlach, Germany, June 29-- Villeroy & Boch, the German ceramics group, is reported to be planning to sell three tile production sites, in Hungary, Italy and Romania, to Austrian group Lasselsberger.
The company is planning to concentrate tile production on its Merzig site in western Germany and its La Ferte Gaucher site in France.
The closures are expected to reduce the workforce in the group's tile division from 2,100 to 1,380.
