Valinge Suing Classen Over Locking System
Viken, Sweden, April 16, 2010--Välinge is suing Classen in Texas over patent infringement regarding a locking system.
The company said that Classen is also accused of false advertising. Välinge claims that the statement on the Classen web site that its Megaloc products are ”certainly the fastest and easiest laying system in the world” is false and misleading.
“With this court case we want to show that Välinge has specific U.S. patents that cover snap tab systems such as Megaloc and that one of our patents related to this technology is earlier than the Classen patent," the company said in a news release.
“This legal action is a first response to the legal case that Classen filed recently against Välinge and its licensee Shaw in Texas related to fold down technology."
