Valinge Sues Granite Expo for Patent Infringement

Viken, Sweden, Sept. 25, 2009--Välinge has filed a lawsuit for patent infringement against Granite Expo & Co. Inc, Granite Expo Installation Co Inc., Granite Expo LLC, and Granite & Marble Expo.

Granite Expo's “Pacific Laminate Flooring” product is accused of infringing upon Välinge’s patent covering a locking system for mechanically joining floorboards. The suit was filed in the Northern district of California,

“The lawsuit is an example of Välinge's continued and firm intent to protect its patent rights and licensees in the United States,” says Ignace Gorus, Välinge’s legal counsel.
