Valinge Says Locking System Improved

Viken, Sweden, Oct. 21, 2009-- Välinge said it has invented a new 5G compact version locking system.

The firm sais the new 5G-C version gives improved properties and a cost efficient production.

5G Compact is a new fold down locking system that is the company says is easier to lock since the flexible tongue is slightly inclined and is pushed inwardly and downwardly during locking.

The tongue is more compact than 5G Original and uses 20% less material, Valinge said. Other advantages are that the joint could be made more compact with increased strength.
