Valinge Files Infringement Suit Against Pergo

Viken, Sweden, Sept. 22, 2010--Valinge said it has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Pergo in U.S. District Court in Delaware.

The lawsuit was filed last week after Valinge announced the termination of the settlement agreement with Pergo.

It is a countersuit against two actions in Europe where Pergo has taken legal actions against two Välinge licensees, which are using the Välinge 5G fold down technology.

Välinge said it has proposed a "fair and reasonable" cross license fee, which has been rejected by Pergo.

The action is based on patent infringement of Välinge’s U.S. related to sales of products with the Pergo SmartLock and ProLoc locking systems.
