Valinge, Classen Settle Patent Dispute

Hannover, Germany, Jan. 16, 2012 -- Valinge said that it has signed an agreement with Classen that ends their legal dispute related to patents for fold down locking systems for laminate and wood flooring.

The agreement also creates a framework that allows easier access to their technologies for future licenses, Valinge said.

Present licensees will be offered an indemnification on the other party’s patents. New licensees will be able to receive a license based on both party’s patents.

The parties have agree that Välinge will act as sole licensor for the combined Välinge/Classen patents and will offer licenses on all fold down systems as patented and developed by the companies.
