U.S. Lumber Prices Hit Highest Level Since Recession
New York, NY, April 11, 2017—U.S. lumber prices hit a twelve-year high on April 10, according to the Wall Street Journal.
This occurred amid “expectations that U.S. officials will soon levy a steep duty on timber imports from Canada,” the financial publication reports.
The U.S. lumber lobby has redoubled its call to increase tariffs against Canadian importers, buoyed by President Trump’s focus on domestic business and his promises to invest in building.
