U.S. Factory Orders Decline in August
Washington, DC, Oct. 4, 2010--U.S. factory orders fell by 0.5% in August, the Commerce Department reported Monday.
Analysts were expecting orders to drop by 0.4%.
Durable goods orders were revised down to a 1.5% decline for the month from the original 1.3% decline reported earlier, while nondurable goods orders rose only 0.3%, keeping the overall factory orders gain below expectations.
