U.S. Economy Added 2.65 Million Jobs in 2015

Washington, DC, January 8, 2016—The economy added 2.65 million jobs in 2015, the second best year of gains since 1999, according to the Labor Department.

In December 2009, the U.S. unemployment rate was 9.9%, but last month, in December 2015, it was nearly half that at 5%.
