U.S. Campaign for Wool Gets Underway
New York, NY, May 18, 2012 -- The Campaign for Wool was launched in the U.S. last week at the Annual Congress of the International Wool Textile Organisation.
The international gathering of over 200 leading wool industry professionals heard the plans for the Campaign, a global promotional movement initiated by His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales in 2010 in the UK, and its U.S. roll out from Bridgette Kelly.
The program will be launched to consumers in September with ‘Wool Week.’
Strong support from carpet and rug manufacturers has shown that there is a lot of interest in the CfW, which is using its distinctive ‘Green Sheep’ logo to promote wool as a natural, sustainable fiber for interiors.
The campaign will introduce the Wool Book, which will be a resource guide for consumers and the interior design community.
