Universal Fibers Partners with Circular Building Solutions

Bristol, VA, July 15, 2025-Universal Fibers has announced a new partnership with UK-based Circular Building Solutions to support the use of adhesive-free, reversible floor fixing systems. The collaboration aims to advance circularity in the commercial flooring industry by promoting systems that allow floor coverings to be reused or recycled more easily at end-of-life.

The partnership brings together Universal Fibers’ recycled nylon yarn technology and Circular Building Solutions’ installation methods, which are designed to eliminate traditional adhesives. According to the companies, this approach helps reduce construction waste and protects underlying building materials by allowing products to be removed without damage.

Representatives from both companies emphasized the importance of designing entire flooring assemblies-from yarn to sub-floor-with reuse in mind. The adhesive-free systems are already being used in projects across Europe, the U.S., and Australia in partnership with manufacturers including Forbo, Milliken, Burmatex, and Balsan.

Universal Fibers and Circular Building Solutions said the collaboration is part of a broader push toward more sustainable, modular construction practices in commercial interiors.
