Universal Fibers Opens Customer Care Center

Bristol, VA, June 11, 2010--Universal Fibers officially opened its Customer Care Center to the public Thursday while being recognized by Marriott Hotels for the company’s contribution to the Amazonas Sustainable Foundation.

The ASF is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to procure and preserve rain forest land in support of the Juma Sustainable Development Reserve in South America.

The donation was made possible through an initiative at Marriott called ”Spirit to Preserve the Rainforest.” Marriott’s MeadowView Conference Center in Kingsport was selected by Universal as the venue for a national sales conference it hosted for one of its strategic customers.

Through Marriott Hotels, Universal Fibers committed all discounts and incentives associated with the conference to the ASF.

The presentation of the award was held in the company’s new Customer Care Center (CCC), part of the $13 million expansion announced last year.  The CCC is an interactive concept design/meeting area to support the needs of all Universal associates, its customers and local community groups.

Customers are invited to the CCC to talk face to face with members of the product development team to match color and design of the fiber the customer requires.
